The Crickets are here

It's been a long time since anyone has posted and it has been an interesting year.

For starters, we have sadly lost a number of our furry friends this year. It is a loss that we have all encountered before, but that never makes it easier.

It has also been a season full of wild weather. It seems that every other night, there has been a thunderstorm which knocks down trees. It is sad to see so many of the aged, magestic trees toppled over from the wind, but that is the nature of things.

This summer has also brought about many mosquitoes, but there are hundereds of dragonflies, in turn. It makes things at the park much more bearable for humans and animals alike. The giant turtle in the pond also made an appearance, as have many tiny, thumb-nail sized frogs. Butterflies have also been prolific. I've been very fortunate to have taken many pictures of the goings on at the park, which I will post soon. The eagles, hawks and turkey vultures have also returned to their nesting grounds. For the first time ever, I've also seen some coot chicks.

It also appears that there have been less partying teens at the park. That, or they are actually cleaning up after themselves.

Still to be solved is the person who was missing their shoes and pants. The items of clothes were sitting in a neat little pile for some time.
